Digital Editor - Time Out Abu Dhabi

Time Out Abu Dhabi is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Digital Editor to join its team. 

Key responsibilities

•    Responsible for web traffic. Simple.
•    In conjunction with the product editor, develop strategy for web.
•    Plan, write, commission, edit and proof content for web.

Deputy Editor - Construction Week

Following an internal promotion, Construction Week, the leading weekly business magazine and website for the construction industry in the GCC, is looking for a talented deputy editor. 

As well as deputising for the editor in her absence, helping with team management and taking the lead on key editorial projects, the deputy editor will also plan and write news and features for online and print, subedit pages and produce newsletters.

Sound Technician

We are looking for a Sound Technician to join our team! 

Your responsibilities will vary depending on whether you work in:

•    production - the recording of all sound on set or on location
•    post-production - the balancing, mixing, editing and enhancing of pre-recorded audio.

Working in production, you'll need to:

•    assess the acoustics of the performance area and assemble and operate the necessary equipment
•    consult with producers and performers to determine the sound requirements
•    select, position, adjust and operate the equipment used for amplification and recording
•    apply technical knowledge of sound recording equipment to achieve the determined artistic objectives
•    record sound onto digital audio tape or hard disk recorders
•    monitor audio signals to detect sound-quality deviations or malfunctions
•    anticipate and correct any problems
•    maintain and repair sound equipment.

Working in post-production, you'll need to:

•    integrate (synchronise) pre-recorded audio (dialogue, sound effects and music) with visual content

Senior Designer - ITP Business

ITP Business is looking for an enthusiastic and creative Senior Designer for its portfolio of business to business (B2B) magazines. 

Managing the design process for a number of titles within the group, the designer will work closely with editors to design feature spreads and covers. The role also requires working closely with in-house production and photography departments and coordinating with outsourcing design partners.

  • To work closely with Hearst Media International HQ in NYC, and leverage on the resource and team in place, as well as working in line with their international brand guidelines, and managing necessary approvals on local content from international Hearst offices, e.g. cover stories for web.
