Web Production Assistant | 2 Sep 2010
To manage and execute day to day online production tasks for Consumer and Lifestyle websites. Sending Eblasts, Newsletters and Banner Ad management. Communicating with Clients and Sales team to ensure the deliverables are executed on time and as per expectations.
Must be a web designer with good organizational skills, proficient in HTML, CSS, Flash and Dreamweaver.
A combination of an admin role and a web design role.
Skills:
- Organised, reliable used to dealing with the production side of the web, must be comfortable chasing clients, sales-people, going the extra mile and taking ultimate responsibility for everything that passes across their desk
- Code and create web-standard, multiple-browser compatible web pages and email shots using HTML/CSS
Must be:
- extremely comfortable dealing with people
- be able to work under pressure
- extreme attention to detail (working in a role where everything must be double-checked and accuracy must be 100%)

HEAD OF RETAIL CIRCULATON | 17 Aug 2010
The role requires a candidate with a strong background in the retail trade, managing Key Accounts and employing Category Management techniques to grow market share and develop growth in a well established marketplace. Experience in the publishing industry is preferred, although a background in FMCG will also be suitable. Exposure to the ABC or BPA audit process is beneficial although not essential.
You will have strong analytical skills, with an eye for opportunity and areas for development. The successful candidate will be required to present plans for growth and new opportunities to the business, and be required to champion the growth of the total business in the retail trade. You will have a demonstrated strength in negotiating contracts on a country-wide basis, utilising mutually beneficial relationships with stake holders in the Key Accounts you have managed.
The successful candidate will manage a team consisting of one Retail Manager and six merchandising staff deployed throughout the country to manage the company’s products and ensure share of shelf is maintained.

Construction Week in Dubai requires an experienced editor to take control of its weekly print title, daily news website and associated brand extensions. The magazine is well established in the market and has recently undergone a comprehensive redesign. The website, constructionweekonline.com, is approaching its second birthday and attracts a monthly readership in excess of 100,000 unique users. A series of conferences, special reports and trade show publications are also part of the product suite.
The ideal candidate will be capable of leading and inspiring a small team, while also providing creative direction and imaginative editorial ideas. They will also need to be able to influence their colleagues who edit monthly publications and encourage cooperation and resource sharing throughout the group.
The successful candidate will be a degree qualified native English speaker with experience of editing a B2B title. Knowledge of the construction industry would be advantageous, but not necessary. More important is a strong news sense and an ability to cope with both boardroom and building site interviews, while consistently producing an excellent product and balancing commercial demands.
The role is based in Dubai and requires regular travel to other Gulf States, including Saudi Arabia.
