Commercial Manager - Villa 88


Arab Publishing Partners (APP) is the GCC’s largest premium magazine publisher with an elite portfolio of brands including Stylist Arabia, Condé Nast Traveller, Architectural Digest, The Rake, Revolution, Villa 88, Shortlist, and

Villa 88 is the UAE’s only female magazine that is published specially for the affluent local Arab women in the UAE. The magazine is hand delivered four times a year to a VIP database of 5,000 women including members of leading families. Villa 88 also executes four bespoke events a year and has small but influential social media platforms. We are looking for a commercial manager who can drive this exciting brand to the next level.

You should be brimming with ideas, creative, ambitious, enthusiastic and dynamic with at least 2-years’ worth experience of media sales in the UAE media market. You will be able to demonstrate prior success in hitting sales targets and have strong negotiation skills. Arabic speaker is preferable but not essential.

Events Manager

ITP Media Group publishes consumer and business-to-business content in print and online. ITP Media Group magazines and websites are complemented by a portfolio of regional awards programmes, events and conferences.

We are currently looking for a creative and energetic Events Manager to join the marketing and events team. The Events Manager will be responsible for the development and A-Z management of a series of awards ceremonies and bespoke events throughout the year. The successful candidate will work closely with sales, editorial and production departments as well as managing all external suppliers to ensure the smooth running and delivery of all events.

The Events Manager will have a passion for event planning, excellent organisational skills and will be a strong verbal and written communicator. An advocate of customer service, the Events Manager will have the ability to multi-task effectively, work well under pressure and be able to foster good working relationships at all levels within an organisation.

The successful candidate will be educated to secondary school level, with higher education in events management related subjects an advantage. A minimum of three years of experience is required working in an event management role, with experience in both B2B and consumer events an advantage.

This is a fulltime permanent role based in Dubai with occasional regional travel.

Event Operations Manager

ITP Media Group is looking for an energetic, well organised and experienced operations manager for its portfolio of conferences and events. Based in Dubai, the successful candidate will have responsibility for the design, development, delivery and management of a wide variety of events, delivering them to a high standard, on time and within budget.

The operations manager will have excellent organisational skills, be efficient and able to multi-task effectively. A creative and innovative professional, they must have a proactive approach, a keen eye for detail, and be comfortable managing a number of events simultaneously. A confident communicator and negotiator, the operations manager will have the ability to foster good working relationships with all stakeholders.


- 2+ years’ experience in a similar operations or project/event management role
- Experience negotiating with suppliers, managing budgets, and handling contracts
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients
- Problem-solving approach with the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Taste and an aesthetic sensibility that pairs well with our brands,
- Arabic language skills are a plus but are not essential

Editor in Chief - Architectural Digest

APP is looking for an ambitious and talented Editor in Chief to manage and lead the editorial of the magazine, digital platforms and all brand extensions including events, working in collaboration with Marketing and Advertising and reporting to the Publishing Director.

The position is based in Dubai and the ideal candidate should have worked at least three to five years on an international interiors or luxury magazine as an editor or deputy editor. A proven journalistic, commercial and strong team management track record is essential together with knowledge of digital publishing.

Desired profile:

The ideal candidate must be flexible and have a can-do, positive attitude which shows they are respectful, responsible and dedicated, and by default demonstrate passion, brand understanding and leadership.

We are looking for someone who is dynamic, proactive, and tenacious and likes to work in a multicultural environment. An individual who is accountable, socially smart and extremely organised, someone who uses their own initiative and loves to communicate and is experienced digitally across social media, web and video.

Key responsibilities:

• To be the Architectural Digest Brand Ambassador, Advocate and Spokesperson to both readers and the marketing and communications industry, taking ownership of Luxury Living in the Middle East

• To strategically lead and direct the editorial team on the creation and production of all editorial content; across the monthly magazine, digital & social platforms, content used at reader events and any other brand extensions

• To manage the flatplan of each issue of the main magazine, special editions and bespoke supplements

• To understand the luxury interiors and design consumer market and be able to lead the editorial team to connect and communicate with the affluent women reading the magazine and leading a fashionable life

• To take ownership of the cover story, shoot and interview for each issue, maintaining the international standards of the magazine with exclusive interviews and international celebrities

• To recognise regional talent and create a platform to celebrate and showcase these people and brands on an international level

• To write and edit accurate and engaging copy, displaying journalistic discipline and rigour which is aspired to by the team

• To ensure all content is exclusive, engaging and relevant to the reader

• To managing the budget to produce the magazine each issue

• To understand and work within the commercial realities of publishing in the Middle East

• To plan and edit content syndicated from Architectural Digest’s international network to ensure local relevancy
